We give partners employee-level support – here’s how it works

Fifteen years ago, Tyler Grange was founded on a simple promise: build a workplace where people thrive. We believed then – and still do – that a great job should mean more than a pay cheque.
But after 15 years of nurturing our Tribe, we asked a bigger question: What if we could extend that care beyond our core team? So we teamed up with experts, listened to our partners, and built something new.
This is the story of how we’re turning freelancers into friends- and why it matters for anyone who’s ever felt like just another contractor.
We put a lot of time and effort into caring for our people. From day one, we’ve tried our hardest to make it the best possible place to work and do whatever we can to help our team reach their potential.
It’s because of our values that we’ve been able to attract the right people to our business – clients, our team and partners alike. We’re proud of what we’ve been able to achieve over the last decade and a half, like B Corp status and becoming part of the four-day week.
But what matters most is how we show up for each other. Day in, day out. Not just our core team, but the group of incredible people we work with, our Tyler Grange Partners (TGPs).
That’s why we’re expanding our partner care, extending the benefits of working at Tyler Grange to the Arboricultural Consultants, Ecologists, and Landscape Architects we collaborate with.
If you’re part of our journey, you’re part of our Tribe.
Over the years, our TGP network has grown, not just in numbers but in significance. To us, TGPs aren’t casual freelancers. They’re experienced professionals who are every bit as important as our core team. They put in the hard graft for our clients. It doesn’t go unnoticed and we want to give a bit more back to them in return.
That’s where the Tyler Grange Partner Programme comes in. It’s a structured programme that brings our partners closer to the Tyler Grange culture and gives them access to the same kind of development and wellbeing opportunities we offer our Tribe.
To help bring this idea to life, we’ve teamed up with Seb Randle, a Development Coach at The Helpful Space. Over the past year, Seb’s been working closely with us and our Partner Care Coordinator, Trix, to design wellbeing sessions that genuinely make a difference.
“I’ve had the privilege of helping our partners uncover their strengths and create new opportunities, not just in their work but in their wider lives.” Seb says. “By providing tools, texts and actionable strategies, we’re boosting resilience and helping them achieve their goals with renewed belief in themselves.”
Seb’s approach: listening first. He and Trix ran surveys and gathered feedback directly from our partners to shape the programmes. The result is a thoughtful blend of interactive workshops, reflective sessions and personal development tools. Everything is designed to support our partners on their journey.
The Partner Care Programme wouldn’t exist without Trix. She has over three years of experience at Tyler Grange in various roles. From admin support to marketing and events, Trix knows our business inside out.
She recently stepped into a new role at Tyler Grange as our Partner Care Coordinator. It’s her mission to make sure every TGP feels valued, connected and heard. Whether it’s answering questions, gathering ideas or helping someone navigate a challenge, Trix is here to make sure our extended Tribe feels just as supported as the team in our offices.
“Our Tyler Grange Partnership scheme has grown steadily over the past few years and is now a fundamental part of our business,” she says. “We have achieved great things together and have learnt so much along the way”.
The first phase of the Partner Care Programme includes two sessions this year:
And that’s just the beginning.
As the year unfolds, we’re building even more opportunities for TGPs to connect, grow, and thrive. That includes:
The Partner Care Programme is about more than just the perks, wellbeing sessions and events. It’s about something bigger, putting our values where our mouth is and authentically supporting our people. As Seb says, “It’s a dynamic mix of sessions designed to empower and inspire TGPs, ensuring they experience the same culture of belonging and opportunity that Tyler Grange has built.”
We’re proud to be developing a community that stretches beyond our Tribe alone. We want everyone to feel part of it.
