We’re one of the best places to work in the country!

14 Jul 2025

It’s official. For the second year running, we’re one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025.

To say that we’re chuffed would be a bit of an understatement. It’s an incredible achievement and one that the whole team can be proud of. Because this award belongs to us all. Here’s why it really matters and what this award means for our future.

Voted for by our Tribe

If you didn’t know, The Sunday Times Best Places to Work is a ranking of organisations that have scored the highest on surveys completed by their employees. Surveys are compiled and collated by the brilliant people at WorkL For Business, who provide recruitment, retention and career development services to help organisations get the very best out of their people. The surveys are based on 6 key areas:

  1. Reward and recognition
  2. Information sharing
  3. Empowerment
  4. Instilling pride
  5. Job satisfaction
  6. Wellbeing

Last year, our people completed surveys that quizzed them on their experience across these six areas, and we were scored accordingly. We scored well. We’re listed as one of the best, medium sized organisations to work for in the country.

WorkL benchmark scores and company data against a vast database, covering:

  • Over 25 sectors
  • More than 100,000 organisations …
  • …from more than 100 countries
  • And 400,000+ individuals.

When you take all that into account, like we said; chuffed to bits.

Winning is great, but learning and improving is better

It’s a result that we can all celebrate together. And it opens doors for us to improve too.

It means we have access to data that we can use to make things better for our team, both now and for Tyler Grange’s future. We can see where we’re excelling, and where we need improvement and attention. It’s exhilarating to win such a prestigious award – but it doesn’t mean that we can rest on our laurels and dine out on one win from now on.

Knowing where we’re at is great, but knowing what we can do better? That’s what drives us.

How it happened

Like we said when we set up the company 15 years ago, we wanted to build a great place to work. As a B-Corp, we’re committed to continuous improvement, to monitoring and reducing our negative impact on the environment around us. It’s built into what we do as environmental planning consultants.

For our Tribe, we’ve been adding more and more elements to the Tyler Grange experience to help people be their most authentic selves at work. To name a few:

  • The Gathering – expert mindfulness coaching, meditation and open discussion.
  • Championing charitable causes and advocating for change where it’s desperately needed.

Tribal behaviour

We call our team, our Tribe. They’re the reason we’ve built something that feels genuinely different. They’re the reason we keep pushing ourselves and each other forward. They inspire us to make something big and impactful out of a spark or a curiosity, making it more than just a place to work, but a group that you belong to.

To us, being recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 is proof that we’re delivering on our mission to make a great place to work. And it inspires us to improve on our current scores and build even more benefits to being part of the team. We are committed to growing and developing the next generation of arborists, ecologists and landscape architects.

We’re always open to great people joining our Tribe. We work bloody hard at what we do for lots of reasons, but we can boil it down to two main ones:

  • It’s really important work.
  • We absolutely love doing it.
