When did you join TG?

5/9/2022

Where did you join TG from?

Birmingham City Council, H&S Team and prior to that Waste Management.

What is the main purpose of your role?

As the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Lead I support Tyler Grange to ensure that employees, working in both office and outdoor environments are compliant to Health & Safety Regulations in order to protect their Health, Safety & Wellbeing whilst at work.

What drives you? What are your values? Do you support any initiatives outside of TG?

I thrive on working hard and achieving results that make life and work enjoyable and safer for everyone.  My values align with TG especially regarding Honesty & Caring, as I am passionate about people and making sure they are thriving or have someone to turn to if they need some support, I do this through my commitment to being a Mental Health First Aider.  I also teach British Sign Language and support people outside of Tyler Grange to learn how to communicate with the Deaf community, teaching NHS workers and a local business where one of the employees is losing their hearing so supporting that whole team to be Deaf aware and communicate with each other.

What are your interests? Hobbies?

I love spending time with my friends and family, this can range from house meet ups, walking in nature, short get aways, going for a meal or seeing live music.  I love live music, I am in my happiest place when at a gig or festival seeing a band with my nearest and dearest.  I also love going to the cinema and the theatre and in my own space I love to listen to music, watch a good film or series and read – anything but a horror I am good with!
