Owain Keeley

Bio

Owain is an Associate Landscape Consultant with Tyler Grange and has over 10 years’ experience working in landscape planning. Owain is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) and holds both an Honours degree in Geography and a Masters in Environmental Consultancy. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society (FRGS) and an approved Building with Nature (BwN) assessor. ​

Owain is experienced in producing Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVAs) and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs), including ES chapters, for a wide range of development sectors from small scale single dwellings up to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and Developments of National Significance (DNS). ​

He has an extensive knowledge of planning policy, supporting documentation relating to landscape and visual matters, and guidance published by the Landscape Institute. Owain is also experienced in both the England and Wales planning systems, working across a variety of projects and applications within both countries. Owain also has a keen interest in providing due diligence/initial landscape and visual opportunities and constraints advice at the start of a project, taking this initial advice forward to provide the relevant landscape and visual reports/plans suitable to accompany the planning application. He also has a keen eye for Green Infrastructure, ensuring that landscape and visual mitigation has multifunctional benefit and is integral to the overall design of schemes. ​

Owain provides planning, design and technical services to a range of private sector clients and has helped to secure planning permissions for a number of residential and commercial schemes. ​
